Music Bingo - Frequently Asked Questions

What about Spotify Integration?

While we too would very much like to have built in Spotify support, complete with playlist import and the auto-marking, Spotify explicitly prohibits the use of their API for the creation of a game. Nothing precludes using Spotify to play a playlist, and using the manual marking of the application. Just paste your playlist in the form of 'song - artist' into the Paste Playlist, import, and you can still generate and use your cards just like normal.

Can I Export a Playlist from Spotify?

Under current developer rules, a commercial use partnership is required to put a tool in place for exporting playlists. As a result, we cannot directly provide a tool for doing so, but there is a web application that can do it for you: https://exportify.net. Using that, you can generate a .csv file that Music Bingo can import, and either create an Apple Music playlist from, or simply turn on Shazam in the Play page and let that auto -mark your played songs while Spotify does the playing for you.

How do Digital Cards work?

As far as the game is concerned, a Digital Card is just a card. They are unique from the printed cards, each has their serial number, the only difference is that rather than printing them, they are claimed by players on their devices instead of a piece of paper.
