Privacy has become a big issue over the last few years, and we get it. More than we would probably like to admit, as a couple of us have been victims of identity theft ourselves. As a result we have taken a pretty hard stance regarding our own policies regarding the privacy of our friends, family, and customers. You can view our published policy here. That is the top level surface policy that is more or less a generic template of a privacy policy.

It barely scratches the surface of our internal thoughts and policies.

As you look at our project, products, and work we have adopted a very simple policy, you are not the product. We have no advertisements in the applications other than the occasional one for our own products. We collect no data from you without your knowledge and consent. Our apps do not phone home without your knowledge. If there is a call out to one our servers, it should be limited to only necessary data. Any data that we do end up in possession of is not our to sell or share without explicitly granted permission.

If you have a login / account on our servers, we will not ask for more information than is absolutely required.

To be completely clear: we do not WANT to possess any more data than is absolutely necessary for any given purpose.

Future products may require us to adjust, but even then, our commitment if to protecting the privacy of those we serve.
