A Weekend of Work

Well, that gets most of the basics transitioned over to the new host and engine. There remains a good bit to get done, like moving the downloads and broad selection of documentation into the new site, as well as migrating the nearly 20 years worth of news and articles over, but getting this working was the priority.

Next up is to take a couple of hours to do some normal weekend ‘life stuff’ ( workout, grocery, meal prep, laundry, etc ) and then circle back to this project to keep bringing more and more of the old content back online with the new engine.

On a side note, the new engine is eventually going to become an open source project here as well. One built as more of an educational tool, but could also be used to shortcut development for others. It is an aspnetcore/entitframeworkcore server service implemented in C#, while the front end user interface is written in javascript using the Vue.js framework. I hope to write up some articles on how all the bits fit together, and how to deploy them.
