Late last week, we submitted v1.0.11 to the App Store for Review. At this point the iOS version has cleared review and the macOS version is still waiting. There are some new. features to talk about, but first, know that we are holding the actual publication until everything has cleared the review process so that we can release them all at the same time.

This release introduces a new feature that requires that an additional application also clear the App Store review process, the Music Bingo Companion app that is our ‘Digital Cards’ application. In the Host application, there is a new option to generate digital cards too. They work just like paper cards, they just live on the phone, and if the host allows it, to use Shazam to identify the songs as the play, and just like physical cards, they have numbers and QR codes for verification.

In addition to that, there are a couple of other new features to discuss.

• Limited Spotify support - build games from Spotify, Youtube Music, Prime Music or any other manual playlists in addition to Apple Music
• Shazam for Automatic Marking of played songs in the Host application
• Performance and stability improvements.
• Enhanced documentation

The big items on that list are the External playlist support, where you can use your own music source and then have the host app mark via Shazam. While it is not the most elegant of solutions, we still think that the Apple Msic solution is the best, this one will work for those with attachements to other sources.
